HONOR’s upcoming next-gen foldable phone seems to be coming in two variants. Both of those variants appeared on the MIIT certification website, thus basically confirming its existence.

The HONOR Magic V2 got certified with 66W charging support

The VER-AN10 and VER-AN00 models got certified. The former was also spotted at 3C certification with 66W charging, thus confirming its wired charging speed.

A tipster called ‘WHY LAB’ quickly confirmed that one of them is the HONOR Magic V2, and that it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The other one is almost certainly a Magic V2 as well, but a different variant of the phone.

That model is rumored to be called the ‘HONOR Magic V2 Supreme Edition’. The HONOR Magic Vs also had a special edition sibling, it’s called the ‘HONOR Magic Vs Ultimate Edition’. That model was barely any different from the regular one.

Two variants of HONOR’s next-gen foldable phone are coming

Having said that, the HONOR Magic V2 Supreme Edition is said to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. That variant will seemingly have Qualcomm’s latest chip, while the regular model will include the same processor as the Magic Vs.

The HONOR Magic V2 is tipped to utilize a QHD+ LTPO display, for its main display, while the cover panel will likely be a fullHD+ unit. A 5,000mAh battery is also expected, and the same goes for 66W wired, and 50W wireless charging.

The HONOR Magic V and Vs did not offer wireless charging, so that would be a nice addition here. A charger will likely be included in the box with both variants of the HONOR Magic V2.

It’s expected to be more in line with the Huawei Mate X3 in terms of thickness and weight

The device is expected to be slimmer and lighter than the Magic Vs. It’s expected to be more in line with the Huawei Mate X3 in that regard, thus an improvement over its predecessor.

HONOR Is allegedly planning to announce the Magic V2 in China on July 12. The regular model of the phone will likely launch globally too, like its predecessor, we just don’t know when exactly. It could take some time for that to happen.
