About a month before his passing, Sizemore did an interview with Age of the Nerd where he addressed his lengthy career along with what he hoped was coming next. As someone who was frequently working, he noted how he attributes his busy schedule to his love for movies, as he just cannot spend enough time on a set.

“I’ve always loved movies,” the Black Hawk Down star said. “That’s why I started doing this and after all these years I still adore movies… So, it’s about just having a real passion for stories and my nascent curiosity. I’m lucky I like it so much.”

On his future, Sizemore teased, “I believe that I have a second act coming and that I need to start doing more dramatic roles and stay away from the bad guy, military, and cop roles.”

It was reported in February that Sizemore had suffered a brain aneurysm at his Los Angeles home. He was placed on life support, but it was later determined that the actor’s condition was beyond any possible hope of a recovery. He was removed from life support and died on March 3.
