The Nothing Phone (1) is out, and it’s soon to be able to test Android 14. However, Carl Pei and the team at Nothing are looking towards the future according to a new Twitter post. Nothing just posted the first teaser for the Nothing Phone (2) on Twitter. As you can expect, it doesn’t show much, but also shows a lot.
The teaser in question is a simple looping video, and it’s rather abstract. On the left, we see what looks like a textured dotted material. We’re not sure if that has anything to do with the phone or the overall aesthetic, but it’s worth being noted.
On the right side, we see the more significant details. It looks like we’re looking at the edge of the phone turned diagonally. We see a few compartmentalized sections in the material, and that goes along with the aesthetic that Nothing has already established.

The most notable part of the league is the flashing red light. That’s the only moving part of the video, and we can expect that to be one of the core parts of the phone’s design language. Other than that, there’s not much more that we can tell about the teaser.
Along with the teaser, the Tweet says that the Nothing Phone (2) is coming in the summer
So, the teaser did its job. We’re interested in what the company is working on, and we can have confidence that Nothing is going to change up the design aesthetic of its phone for the next iteration. Remember, Nothing positioned itself as the antithesis of Apple, and releasing the next generation of a phone with the exact same design as the last is the most Apple thing that you can do.
As for the rest of the information in the teaser, it says that the Nothing Phone (2) will be coming in the summer. Last year, the Nothing Phone (1) launched on July 12th. So, we can expect the Nothing Phone (2) to launch somewhere around that time frame.
When the Nothing Phone (2) launches, we expected to have updated specs compared to the Nothing Phone (1), which was a budget phone. We’ll just have to wait on more teasers to get a better picture of it.
