Street Fighter 6 doesn’t launch till June, but players on PlayStation can check it out early through a newly released demo. Capcom revealed the demo today at the end of its special Street Fighter 6 showcase. Noting that it would be available to download after the showcase was over.
To play the demo today, you’ll need to either be on PS4 or PS5. You can also add it to your library directly from the console or through the PlayStation Store website, or via the PS app on mobile devices. And if your PS4 or PS5 console is in rest mode, then the download should start right away. Even if you’re not currently home.
The demo looks to include quite a bit of playable content. Such as the first part of World Tour, and access to some of the modes in Fighting Ground. Players can also create their own avatar, which can then be used in the launch version of the game if it’s on the same platform where the avatar was created.
The Street Fighter 6 demo comes to Xbox and PC on April 26
While the demo is limited to PlayStation for now, Xbox and PC players will be able to dive in soon. Capcom says the Xbox and PC versions will be available on April 26. So just another week. And since this is a demo and not a beta, there’s no time limit on how long you can play it for.
Street Fighter 6 officially launches on June 2. So this demo should be a nice way for players to get familiar with the game mechanics and features prior to launch. At least for those who didn’t have time to check out the beta.
If you want to watch the entire Street Fighter 6 showcase, you can view it in the video above. Or if you’re on PlayStation just jump right into the demo instead.
