Worms WMD Mobilize has made its way to Android and iOS devices this week, bringing worm-based tactical warfare to your phone screen for some on-the-go strategic fun.

This isn’t the first time this game has graced strategy fans with its presence. It initially launched around seven years ago on PC and consoles. But now that it’s out on mobile you’ll be able to play it anywhere you like. You won’t have to be home to turn on a console or have a laptop with you to boot up. You can simply pull your phone out of your pocket and jump right into the fun.

Provided, of course, you’re willing to spend the $6 this game costs. And honestly, no one should be mad at that. A premium mobile gaming experience that doesn’t come attached to some sort of battle pass or copious amounts of micro transactions is, rare. At the most, it’s very uncommon. So when you get a premium game that has a one-time purchase, it’s usually a good thing.

Worms WMD Mobilize is a faithful port with some extras for mobile players

Whether you played the original or not, you might be happy to know that the mobile port is a faithful recreation of the original. It has all the same features the PC and console versions provided. Plus there are a few extra features for mobile players.

There’s a handful of new weapons in this release for instance. Such as the Unwanted Present, the Dodgy Phone Battery, and the OMG Strike. The game also now supports local and online multiplayer for those that want to play with friends. There’s loads of content to play through across 20 campaign missions and 10 training missions, in addition to things you can collect like more than 100 hats for your worms.

You can play the game with touch controls, which is part of this mobile port, but if you have a handy mobile controller like the Kishi V2, you can user that instead if you prefer as the game supports controllers.
