The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is rumored to launch later this month, and its specs now leaked, to reveal a fourth camera on the back. That is an expected change compared to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, and one we have foreseen.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro arrived to global markets a couple of months ago, and it is considered to be one of the best camera smartphones on the market. The phone has an immensely powerful camera setup, backed by Leica.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra specs appear to reveal a fourth camera on the back

That’s why many people wondered why is Xiaomi even planning to launch an ‘Ultra’ phone. The Xiaomi 13 Pro brings almost everything a flagship smartphone can pack. The only thing it’s missing is a periscope camera, basically. Well, it turns out that’s exactly what the ‘Ultra’ phone is set to bring.

According to information shared by Yogesh Brar, the ‘Ultra’ will add a 50-megapixel periscope camera on the back. The other three cameras will seemingly remain unchanged compared to the ‘Pro’ model.

The other three cameras will remain the same as on the ‘Pro’ unit

In other words, you’ll also get a 50-megapixel main camera (1-inch sensor), a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (115-degree FoV), and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera (75mm lens, 3.2x optical zoom).

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is also said to include a slightly larger battery than its sibling, a 4,900mAh unit. The ‘Pro’ features a 4,820mAh battery. 90W wired and 50W wireless charging is also mentioned. So it will have slightly slower wired charging than the ‘Pro’, as the Xiaomi 13 Pro supports 120W charging.

The rest of the spec sheet mentioned here is almost the same as on the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The same processor, display, and so on. Let’s go over it, though.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will fuel the phone, while you’ll get up to 16GB of RAM

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is said to fuel the ‘Ultra’, while a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate will be included. That’s probably the same 6.73-inch panel the Xiaomi 13 Pro features.

It is said that the ‘Ultra’ will be available in 12GB and 16GB RAM flavors, with 256GB and 512GB of storage, respectively. We’re looking at LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage here.

Android 13 is also mentioned, as is MIUI 14. A 32-megapixel selfie camera will be a part of the package, as will Leica’s lenses, of course. The phone is tipped to launch on April 17, in China.
