At MWC Barcelona today, HMD Global has announced a couple of new phones in its affordable C series. That includes the Nokia C22 and Nokia C32. Both of these phones, HMD Global claims will have three-day battery life. They are basically using the low-end/mid-range recipe of low-specs and big batteries here.

The Nokia C22 has a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display, with 2.5D glass. So it is slightly curved. The C32 also has the same display. They both have 5,000mAh capacity batteries with 10W charging, which is quite slow but at these prices, it’s kind of acceptable.

Nokia’s C22 also comes with 2GB of RAM or 3GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage. It also has the Unisoc SC9863A processor, definitely not a high-end processor, especially since this is a 28nm processor. It’s also rated at IP52 for dust and water spray detection.

Nokia’s C32 is slightly different

The C22 and C32 are very similar here. Both phones have the same 6.5-inch HD+ display, the same Unisoc SC9863A processor, with the same 50-megapixel sensor. Now, the C32 does upgrade the RAM and storage a bit. Offering 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage on-board. Which can be further expanded with a microSD card.

HMD Global has guaranteed two years of quarterly security updates. Which used to be pretty good, but now we’re seeing Samsung and Google offering three years or more. However, given the price here, after two years, you’ll want a new phone anyways. As a 28nm processor is already quite old in 2023, never-mind how old it’ll be in 2025.

Both phones are on sale starting today. The Nokia C22 comes in Midnight Black and Sand, and it’ll start at €109 (~$115 USD). While the Nokia C32 will be available starting today and comes in Charcoal, Autumn Green and Beach Pink. It has a starting price of €129 (~$136 USD).
