A couple of days ago, 9to5Mac brought us the very first look at the iPhone 15 Pro. The site shared CAD-based renders with the help from Ian Zalbo, a designer. Well, the duo is now back, and is showing us the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro designs side-by-side, and yes, these are CAD-based too.
For those of you who are out of the loop, CAD files are basically given by OEMs to factories in order to make a product. Chances are this information is quite accurate, so if you’re interested to know more, well, let’s get started.
The iPhone 15 & 15 Pro designs are shown side-by-side here
Let’s take it one step at a time. If you take a look at the two images below, you’ll see the iPhone 15’s and iPhone 15 Pro’s front sides side-by-side. The first image gives you a nice look at the sensors up top, while the second is a prettier representation of what CAD renders showed us. You can basically see the final product here, as Apple will connect those sensors via software, so that you get a pill-shaped hole like on the iPhone 14 Pro series.
The iPhone 15 will have a slightly larger display
You will also notice that the iPhone 15 Pro (left) is smaller than the iPhone 15 (right). Yes, they do have different display sizes this time around. The iPhone 15 will have a 6.2-inch display, not a 6.1-inch one, based on CAD files.
The image below shows you the two phones side-by-side again, but from the back. You can clearly see that the iPhone 15 is on the left, due to the two cameras included. The iPhone 15 Pro has three cameras there, and a much larger camera island.
You can also take a look at their Type-C ports; RIP Lightning port
The last side-by-side image that the source shared is shown below. This one gives you a look at the bottom of both phones, the iPhone 15 Pro on the left, and the iPhone 15 on the right. You can clearly see the newly-implemented Type-C port here, along with the loudspeaker grilles.
The iPhone 15 Pro series devices are also tipped to include solid-state buttons, instead of physical ones. Many rumors surfaced thus far regarding the iPhone 15 family, but this leak does give us the best look at the devices, that’s for sure.
