After launching the Galaxy A14 5G early last month, Samsung is now readying a Galaxy M series equivalent of it. The Galaxy M14 5G picked up the FCC, BIS, and Bluetooth SIG certifications a few weeks back, revealing a few key specs in the process. It also appeared on the popular benchmarking platform Geekbench. We now have our first look at the upcoming budget Samsung smartphone thanks to TheTechOutlook, which has published seemingly official renders of the phone in three different colors.

Based on the leaked renders, the Galaxy M14 5G will share a lot of similarities with the Galaxy A14 5G, at least in terms of design. It gets an identical V-shaped display notch with chunky bezels all around, particularly the chin. On the back, we have a vertically aligned triple camera setup where the sensors protrude out of the back panel individually. There’s no separate camera housing here. An LED flash unit sits next to the cameras, while the Samsung logo sits low on the back panel.

This appears to be Samsung’s signature smartphone design going forward. The company is employing the same camera layout on the Galaxy S23 series flagships as well. The new flagships launch in a few hours. The Galaxy M14 5G seemingly has its power button a little recessed. This hints at a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner, something you’ll find on the Galaxy A14 5G as well. While the leaked renders don’t show it cleanly, a close look at the bottom edge confirms the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The only notable design difference between the Galaxy M14 5G and Galaxy A14 5G is the former gets a curved rear panel, which wraps around the phone’s edges and frame. The latter has a flat back panel and edges. The new phone will reportedly come in Blue, Dark Blue, and Silver colors.

Galaxy M14 5G rumored specs

There haven’t been many leaks about the Galaxy M14 5G, but we still know a few things. The handset is expected to pack Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1330 processor, with at least 4GB of RAM. The device will ship with Android 13 out of the box and may support 25W fast charging. It will boast Bluetooth 5.2 support and dual-SIM compatibility in some markets. We should hear more about the Galaxy M14 5G in the coming months as Samsung prepares for its launch. The device should be official in a few months.
