Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra flagships in a few hours. But these are just three of a host of smartphones the company has been working on over the past few months. It is also readying a bunch of Galaxy A and Galaxy M series budget and mid-range models. The Galaxy A24 is among that group, and it has just picked up the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification.

Spotted by MySmartPrice, the Galaxy A24 appeared on the FCC website with the model number SM-A245M/DSN. The device is also identified by the model number SM-A245F/DS, which will be used in some markets. The listing confirms dual-SIM support for the phone, along with a few other key specs, including WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, NFC, and LTE cellular connectivity. A 5G version of this phone may also be available, but that’s for another day.

The upcoming Samsung mid-rangers will support 25W fast wired charging. While we don’t know the storage details yet, the FCC documents confirm the presence of a microSD card slot (via). While that’s all the American regulatory body revealed about the Galaxy A24, the phone has visited the leaks world a few times in the past as well. So we know something more about it. The handset showed up on benchmarking platform Geekbench a couple of weeks back to reveal a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 4GB of RAM, and Android 13-based software.

This phone features a triple camera setup on the back. We are talking about a 50MP primary shooter, 5MP ultrawide lens, and possibly a 2MP macro camera. The three lenses protrude out of the phone’s back panel in a vertical array, similar to the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+. On the front, the Galaxy A24 reportedly features a 13MP selfie camera. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. Samsung will likely unveil this phone in March this year. We will keep you posted with all the latest information that emerges about it in the coming weeks.

Galaxy A24 could be the last model in this lineup

The Galaxy A24 may be the last model in Samsung’s Galaxy A2x lineup. Rumors are that it will not get a successor next year. The company reportedly plans to shrink its mid-range smartphone portfolio. It is said to be discontinuing the Galaxy A7x lineup this year itself. There may not be a Galaxy A74, with last year’s Galaxy A73 being the last model. We should get confirmation about that soon. Leaks about Samsung’s 2024 Galaxy A devices should come thick and fast once the Galaxy S23 series is out of the way.
