Samsung makes a wide range of gaming monitors and today has revealed the latest model to join the Odyssey lineup, the Odyssey Neo G7 43. This is the company’s first flat Mini-LED gaming monitor designed to “immerse gamers in the world they play in.” Samsung also says that the large screen will allow gamers a more comprehensive range of vision and details.
This is far from Samsung’s largest gaming monitor. Nor is it the first model using a Quantum Mini-LED panel. However, other Mini-LED gaming monitors in its lineup all come with curved displays. The Odyssey Neo G7 43 is packed with some of the latest tech features for enhanced gaming. Such as HDMI 2.1, making it perfect for the latest consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Samsung is quick to point out though that you don’t necessarily need a gaming console or a gaming PC to enjoy games. Like some of its other recent monitors, Samsung Gaming Hub is baked in. So you can simply connect a controller and play games using cloud services like GeForce NOW or Xbox Game Pass. The 43-inch 4K resolution panel comes with a 144Hz refresh rate, as well as HDR 10+ and VESA Display HDR600 support.
One of the monitor’s more interesting features, though, is Flex Move Screen. With this, you can adjust the monitor’s screen size. Going all the way down to 20-inches if your current game fits better on a smaller screen.
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43 launches in March in the US
Following this morning’s announcement, Samsung has confirmed that the new monitor will be launching in the US in March. The company hasn’t announced pricing yet, but the cost is likely to be on the higher end. Given the size of the display and the Quantum Mini-LED technology being used in the panel.
That being said, the monitor should come in at a lower price than options like the 49-inch Odyssey Neo G9. A monitor that typically retails for around $1,699.99. Once the Odyssey Neo G7 43 officially goes up for sale, you’ll be able to get it direct from Samsung and should be able to find it through retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
