Ulefone has announced a new tablet, the Tab A8. This is a 10.1-inch Android tablet, and it’s an entry-level device. Ulefone says that this is a “tablet for casual needs or light productivity tasks” that won’t break the bank.
It actually looks really nice. Its bezels are not as thin as they’d be on higher-end tablets, but there’s enough space to grip the tablet. The sides are flat all around the device, and there’s a single camera on the back. It has that industrial look to it.
The Ulefone Tab A8 tablet is official, and it comes with POGO pins
You will notice that a Type-C USB port is placed at the bottom of the tablet (vertical orientation), while at the bottom of the tablet while you hold it horizontally, are the POGO pins. Those are there for connecting the company’s keyboard cover. There is also an audio jack included on this tablet.
Let’s talk specs. The Ulefone Tab A8 features a 10.1-inch fullHD+ (1920 x 1200) IPS display. It is fueled by the MediaTek MT6762V/WB processor, which is a 12nm octa-core chip. Ulefone included 4GB of RAM here, along with 64GB of expandable storage (up to 256GB via a microSD card).
A 13-megapixel main camera (f/2.0 aperture, 78-degree FoV, 5P lens, 1.12um pixel size) sits on the back. There is also a 5-megapixel camera (1.12um pixel size, 4P lens, 76-degree FoV, f/2.2 aperture) included on the back.
Four speakers are included here, and a 6,580mAh battery
This tablet includes a quad-speaker setup, and facial scanning via the front-facing camera. There is no fingerprint scanner here. You do get two SIM card slots, though, and 4G connectivity support.
A 6,580mAh battery is included in the package, and it supports 10W charging. A charger is included in the box. Bluetooth 5.0 is supported, and Android 12 comes pre-installed on the device. The Ulefone Tab A8 measures 238.7 x 157.5 x 7.35mm, while it weighs 483 grams.
The Ulefone Tab A8 comes in a single color, a gray color. We still do not know its price tag, though, Ulefone is expected to announce it soon.
