Acer unveiled its new ChromeOS products at CES and their target market is enterprises. All the new products are designed to work together, hence delivering top-notch performance. Acer says that these ChromeOS products will be hitting the mainstream market sometime soon.
The products in question include two Chromeboxes and an Add-In-One monitor. To improve productivity, these Chromeboxes are very portable. Also, the Add-In-One monitor comes with a mounting dock to house either Acer Chromebox.
According to the General Manager of Stationary Computing at Acer, “These new ChromeOS-based Acer systems are excellent choices for businesses and institutions.” He goes on to say that the new ChromeOS products “are easy to setup, use, and manage” and they take up little space. Specifications of the new Acer ChromeOS products
Starting with the new Acer Chromebox CXI5 and Acer Chromebox Enterprise CXI5. The specifications of these two Chromeboxes are the same, but the latter comes with the Chrome Enterprise Upgrade. Both products come with the Intel vPro and the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.
To help take up little space, these Chromeboxes come with a VESA mount kit. With this, the products can be mounted behind a monitor or anywhere else. For connectivity, these products come with four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and two USB 4 Gen 3 Type-C ports.
They also come with two HDMI 2.1 ports and support Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. According to Acer, these Chromeboxes can be connected to four external displays at a time. For its pricing, these ChromeOS-based products retail at $289.99.
Next is the Acer Add-In-One 24 which runs ChromeOS out of the box. This monitor comes with a 24-inch FHD 1080p display and is a great option for individual and enterprise usage. For user comfort, the Acer Add-In-One 24 comes with a 25-degree tilt mechanism.
Mounted on the monitor is a 115-degree 5MP webcam for video conferencing. This camera system has two microphones, two 4-watt speakers, and a built-in privacy shutter. To improve the quality of video calls, this monitor also comes with AI noise reduction modes to cancel out background noise.
The new Acer Add-In-One 24 comes with the Intel vPro and the 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor. An additional feature of this monitor is its future-proofed design that allows users to swap out and upgrade its hardware. With this design, users can mount the Acer Chromebox CXI5 or any other portable PC. Its retail price starts at $609.99 and will soon be available for purchase.
