Xiaomi introduced its Redmi K60 series quite recently. Three devices were launched as part of it in China, the Redmi K60, K60 Pro, and K60E. That being said, based on a new report, the Redmi K60 may reach global markets as the POCO F5 Pro.
The Redmi K60 could arrive to global markets as the POCO F5 Pro
This information comes from Kacper Skrzypek, a writer over at MIUI Polska. He didn’t really share much more info than that, he simply wrote the Redmi K60 = POCO F5 Pro, and that’s it.
This would not exactly be surprising, nor would it be the first time Xiaomi rebrands one Redmi phone into a POCO phone. Both of those brands are under Xiaomi’s umbrella, so… the company can basically do what it wants with them.
The Redmi K60 is actually a very powerful smartphone. It’s not the bleeding edge in terms of specs, but it’s not far from it either. It’s just one step behind the most powerful Redmi K60 variant, the Redmi K60 Pro.
With the right price tag, this phone could be quite appealing
With the right price tag, the POCO F5 Pro could be a major success for the company. The device includes a 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
In China, its RAM count goes up to 16GB, and we’re talking about LPDDR5 RAM here. That RAM is combined with UFS 3.1 flash storage, by the way, up to 512GB, at least in China.
The phone includes a 5,500mAh battery, and supports 67W wired charging. 30W wireless charging is also a part of the package, which is definitely something people will appreciate.
Xiaomi also squeezed in a 64-megapixel main camera inside of this phone, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is also included.
