OPPO has finally announced its new foldables, the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip. The OPPO Find N2 is a direct successor to the Find N that arrived last year. The Find N2 Flip, on the other hand, is the company’s very first clamshell foldable handset.

Both of these look excellent, and are aimed at completely different types of users. OPPO refined the Find N2 this time around, so let’s talk about it first, and then we’ll switch over to the Find N2 Flip. Before we begin, do note that both phones come with Android 13 on board, and OPPO’s ColorOS 13 skin, of course.

OPPO Find N2

The OPPO Find N2 comes with flatter sides than its predecessor, and it’s not thinner as well. On top of that, it’s a lot lighter. The vegan leather model now weighs 233 grams (237 grams for the glass back model), compared to 275 grams of its predecessor. It had very similar dimensions.

It is now 14.6mm thick when closed, and 7.4mm when opened. The original was 15.9mm thick when closed, and 8mm when open. So there are some improvements in that regard too. The phone is a bit narrower than the first-gen model.

Speaking of the design, OPPO used an anodized metal frame here, and there are three different variants of the phone: black, matte white, and minty green. The black model comes with a vegan leather backplate, while the other two have glass backs.

OPPO’s new hinge has less parts, and it makes the crease less visible

OPPO also used a second-gen of its Flexion hinge here. It reduced the number of parts from 138 to 100 this time around. It also used better materials this time around, like carbon fiber, for example. That not only helps with the build quality, but the weight as well.

The crease is also less visible thanks to the new hinge, even though the first-gen model was also great in that regard. The hinge can now hold the phone in both 45-degree and 125-degree angles.

It has two 120Hz displays

The main display measures 7.1 inches, and comes with a 9.6:9 aspect ratio. This is an LTPO display, and it has a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz. It offers a 480Hz touch sampling rate, the same as the cover panel. This display has a peak brightness of 1,550 nits. It also supports HDR10+ content.

The cover display measures 5.54 inches, and it also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It gets up to 1,350 nits of peak brightness, and it’s protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 fuels the Find N2

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 fuels the OPPO Find N2, while it comes with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Those two models come with 256GB and 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage, respectively.

A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IM890 sensor, OIS) is backed by a 48-megapixel ultrawide unit (Sony’s IMX581 sensor, f/2.2 aperture lens). A 32-megapixel telephoto camera (Sony’s IMX709 sensor) is also included in the package. There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera on both displays.

OPPO also uses its MariSilicon X chip here, co-developed by Hasselblad. The hinge allows you to be creative with this camera, and OPPO also included some features for it.

The battery can be fully charged in only 42 minutes

The device includes a 4,520mAh battery on the inside, and supports 67W fast wired charging. It can charge up to 100% in only 42 minutes.

OPPO Find N2 Flip

The OPPO Find N2 Flip also launched. This is OPPO’s very first clamshell foldable smartphone. It comes with flat-ish sides, and a large vertical cover display on the outside. It actually looks really nice in these images.

The Find N2 Flip is supposed to rival the Galaxy Z Flip 4

This one is supposed to rival the Galaxy Z Flip 4, actually. It is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC, not the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as its sibling.

The Find N2 Flip includes a 6.8-inch main AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3.2-inch cover panel. The cover display has a 60Hz refresh rate, and it’s an OLED panel as well.

It has two cameras on the back, and the MariSilicon X chip is in use

A 50-megapixel main camera is backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel selfie camera can be found on the main display, there is a display camera hole there, which is centered. The phone also includes the MariSilicon X chip for image processing, the same as the Find N2.

The phone supports 44W wired charging

A 4,400mAh battery sits inside of this phone, while 44W charging is supported. Wireless charging is not supported, though.
