Google and Samsung have started an advertising campaign in Times Square to promote Assistant, YouTube Music, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The American rapper Ludacris is the face of the campaign.

The ads are shown on a 3D anamorphic billboard. The main benefit of using this kind of billboard is that it attracts people’s attention more than regular billboards. People usually watch the ad until the end because of its exciting and interesting animation.

Google’s ad is located on Broadway between 40th and 45th Street on the sides of the New York Marriott Marquis. Additionally, Design studio CEKAI and Universal Music Group are Google’s partners for the campaign.

Of course, this is not the first collaboration between Google and Ludacris. Google launched a Black-owned Friday campaign last month with the help of Ludacris.

“Whether I’m meeting fans or taking pictures with my family and friends, my days are filled with up close and personal photos, so being able to use the Google Assistant to take a hands-free selfie on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will help me capture even more memories,” Ludacris said.

The ad focuses on Google Assistant capabilities on Galaxy Z Flip 4. In the beginning, you can see a Z Flip 4, putting in the 90-degree “Flex mode” and acting like a stand. Then, Ludacris says, “Hey Google, play Stand Up by Ludacris.” The song is already used in an ad, and the Assistant summons it through YouTube Music after Ludacris’ command. Ludacris then asks Google Assistant to take selfies.

As the campaign’s tagline, Samsung shares the “The new way to selfie. Just like that” note with a link to the Z Flip 4 page on the company’s website. The interesting thing about the campaign is Samsung’s emphasis on using pets in Galaxy Z Flip 4 promo ads. In another advertisement for the phone that released three months ago, Samsung used a cat and now uses a dog in the promo video.

According to Adrienne Lofton, VP of Global Consumer Marketing at Google, the partnership between Google, Samsung, and Ludacris can “open up new possibilities for self-expression.”
