The Huawei Mate 50 Pro has arrived to its first market outside of China. The company announced that the device is now available to pre-order in the UK, starting at £1,199.99.

So, needless to say, the Mate 50 Pro is quite pricey. That was to be expected, though, as this is Huawei’s new flagship handset. If you live in the UK, you can grab the phone from the Huawei Store.

If you get the device from November 3 to November 30, you will also get a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2, a free 3-month subscription to Huawei Cloud Storage (200GB), Accident Screen Damage Protection for 6 months, and a Runtastic 3-month membership.

This is a really nice package of perks that you’re getting, actually. The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 are great. These are some of the best truly wireless earbuds that we’ve used, and the best Huawei has to offer at the moment.

As most of you know by now, Huawei’s handsets do not include Google services. The Huawei Mate 50 Pro ships with Huawei Mobile Services ecosystem. The company’s AppGallery app store is here to replace the Google Play Store.

The phone is still very much running Android OS, with EMUI 13 on top of it. This is the company’s first phone with the XMAGE camera branding, as Huawei is no longer partnered up with Leica.

It features the first-ever 10-scale adjustable physical aperture on a phone

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro actually has a truly compelling set of cameras. It packs an Ultra Aperture XMAGE camera, which offers the first-ever 10-scale adjustable physical aperture. A 50-megapixel main camera is backed by a 13-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G fuels this handset, while Huawei included 8GB of RAM on the phone. The device comes in Black and Silver colors, and it packs in 256GB of storage.

It features a 6.74-inch 2616 x 1212 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That display also offers a 300Hz touch sampling rate. A 4,700mAh battery is included, and it supports 66W wired, and 50W wireless charging.
