According to Google’s announcement, the voice activation issue on Pixel Buds Pro is now fixed, and users can use the “Hey, Google” hotword to activate their earbuds.
Last week, some users ventilated a weird issue on the Google Pixel Buds support page, saying the famous Assistant hotword is deactivated and the device doesn’t support the Assistant language they have selected. This issue prevented users from activating their Pixel Buds Pro using the hotword. Now, Google has released a fix for it and apologized for any inconvenience it may have caused.

The issue should fade automatically, and you don’t need to do anything special. However, the company says if the issue still persists, you should first place your Pixel Buds in the charging case. Then, restart your phone and wait 5 minutes after restarting. Now, you need to take your Pixel Buds out of the charging case and confirm that they are connected to your phone.
Next, go to Settings > Apps > Assistant > See All Assistant Settings > Devices > scroll to the bottom and tap “Pixel Buds Pro.” Make sure that “Say ‘Hey Google’ “is toggled on in that menu. The feature should now work as regular.

They also have a cheaper alternative, Pixel Buds A-Series, that are just $99 and still offers a solid sound quality. They’re both among the best truly wireless earphones you can buy now to pair with your Android device.
