The 2022 World Series is set to kick off tonight, October 28 at 8PM ET where the Philadelphia Phillies will take on the Houston Astros, live from Minute Maid Park on FOX. And this year, you’ll be able to catch the World Series live in 4K.

You will be able to watch the World Series in 4K on the Fox app, fuboTV and YouTube TV. You will be able to download the Fox app onto your TV or smartphone and watch it in 4K at no extra charge, since Fox is an OTA channel. Over on fuboTV, it is included in the base $79.99 Elite plan. While on YouTube TV, you will need to add the “4K Plus” add-on, which is another $20 over the $65 base plan.

If you don’t subscribe to either of those streaming TV services, than downloading the Fox app is going to be the best way to watch the fall classic. If you have another streaming TV service, or have cable, you can login to the FOX app with your TV Everywhere credentials too.

This is FOX’s third season streaming in 4K

For the third-consecutive World Series, FOX is streaming it all in 4K. That means that a lot of the glitches should be worked out at this point. Especially as they plan to broadcast the World Cup next month in 4K.

FOX will have Joe Davis making his debut on the Fall Classic, to kick off FOX’s 25th World Series. He will be alongside John Smoltz.

Game 1 of the World Series starts tonight at 8PM on FOX. With Game 2 on Saturday, October 29, Game 3 on Monday October 31 in Philadelphia and Game 4 on Tuesday, November 1. If necessary, there will be Game 5 in Philadelphia on November 2, Game 6 and 7 will be in Houston on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5.

For the Astros, this is the 4th time in 6 years that they have made it to the World Series, having won it all in 2017. The Phillies are making their return to the World Series for the first time since 2009, when they lost to the New York Yankees, but they won it all in 2008.
