Colson Baker Wants to be Taken Seriously After Taurus

Colson Baker is no stranger to the big screen, starring in numerous feature films during his career. He’s known for his work in One Way, Captive State, Project Power, and The Dirt. Taurus will serve as another project with his fiancée Megan Fox, as they have previously worked together on Midnight in the Switchgrass alongside Bruce Willis.

The singer/actor addressed the crowd at the Balboa Bay Resort earlier this year after appearing at the Newport Beach Film Festival Honors hosted by Variety, and discussed the movie. During his speech said he wants to be taken seriously as an actor after Taurus, as the project was deeply personal for him.

“This is my 14th or 15th movie, but this movie is really close to me. It’s about the last week that a musician is alive, and he’s just trying to battle between the good and the — just trying to find the good in himself. And that’s kind of how I feel, a lot of the times…There are roles that I say that I want or dream scripts that, when they come across, I’m like, ‘Oh, I’d love that,’ and I get laughed at a lot of the times because the director doesn’t know who I am, or the studios don’t believe that I can handle it. But this is one step towards showing them that I can.”

Fans can see how Baker handles perhaps the biggest role of his career when Taurus heads into theaters and living rooms later next month, Nov. 18.
