Everyone wants their voices heard especially when it comes to new features to their favorite programs. This is why YouTube is letting people vote on new features coming to its TV and console apps.

In a new forum post, the company stated that it wants to collect user feedback on which new features those teams should prioritize. “Our teams prioritize feature requests based on feedback we receive either through the official feedback tool or here, directly from the community!”

So, there are two ways to vote on which features you want YouTube to prioritize. Firstly, the most direct way is through the forum post itself. Directly under the forum post, you’ll see five pinned replies, each one with a new potential feature that you can either upvote or downvote.

Also, the company has a feedback tool that you can use to submit your vote. The page tells you how to do so here.

What new YouTube TV/ console features can you vote for?

At the moment, you can only vote on five features. These features are: the ability to block channels, HD and 4K content on more devices, the ability to live stream, the ability to control playback speed, and expanded comment functionality.

If these features sound nice to you, then you’ll want to hurry and get your vote in. So far, it appears that the ability to block channels is winning. It currently has 1,030 upvotes (~91.2%) to 100 downvotes (~8.8%). Obviously, that could change as more people cast their votes.

The expanded comment functionality seems to be the least desired feature. It has 638 upvotes (~90.3%) compared to 62 downvotes (~9.7%).

This doesn’t mean that the other features won’t be coming to the YouTube apps. It just means that the company is going to prioritize the winner, and the other features may come at a later date.
