That seems a bit archaic seeing as it’s almost August. However, these phones were probably packaged and waiting for shipping in April.

But, Google is already in the process of delivering the phone’s christening update. There’s both good news and not-so-good news. The good news is that this update is coming to both the carrier-locked and unlocked variants of the phone.

The not-so-good news is that this update is only the June update. It’s a month behind which isn’t a tragedy. However, the July update has already been delivered.

If you pre-ordered the phone, then there’s a chance that you’ll have an update on day one. You’ll need to check your settings and see if there’s a new update waiting for you. If you already have the phone, you might have to wait a bit. The unit that Android Headlines is on AT&T, but it’s yet to get the update.
