The Pixel 6a will go on sale in late July, and its official cases have just surfaced. These cases have been shared by Max Jambor, a well-known tipster, and they’re exactly what we expected.
The official Pixel 6a cases have just appeared, ahead of the phone’s release
It is not exactly a secret that the Pixel 6a will essentially have the same cases as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. We’ve seen these cases in some official promo materials from Google, and the tipster just shared seemingly-official renders.
These cases haven’t been listed on the Google Store just yet, but we do expect them to become available at the same time the Pixel 6a pre-orders launch. In other words, they’ll likely get listed on July 21. As a side note, the Pixel 6a will go on sale on July 28.
Now, if you take a look at the gallery below the article, you’ll get to see these cases in two colors, from various angles. These seem to be Soft Sage and Stormy Black colors, at least based on the Pixel 6 Pro color names.
As some of you already know, these are somewhat thin plastic cases that didn’t get much praise since launch. Users reported that they are deteriorating rather quickly, which is not a good sign, especially considering their price.
Each case will likely set you back $29
Each of these cases for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will set you back $29. Needless to say, that is not a small amount of money for such basic, plastic cases. Official is official, though, so… there you have it.
We’re presuming that the price for the Pixel 6a iteration of the case will be identical, despite the smaller footprint, but we’ll see. Two color variants are shown in the provided images, but this case will be available in more color options.
The Pixel 6a, as you probably already know, was announced during Google I/O last month. The company opted to wait with the phone’s release, though, for whatever reason. As mentioned earlier, you’ll be able to grab this phone at the end of July, and if you’d like to know more about it, click here.
