The newest trailer for the action-packed, heart-pounding movie Bullet Train has been released online. We see Brad Pitt’s character fight off rival assassins, attempt to quietly eliminate foes in the ‘quiet car’ section, and witness massive explosion after explosion. The trailer can be found below.
We get our first look at Sandra Bullock’s character, Maria Beetle, giving Pitt his new codename: Ladybug. Bullock acts like a boss, or at least the one orchestrating the jobs Ladybug will go on. The only reason Ladybug is on the train to begin with is to end his streak of bad luck, which included a gruesome mishap with a bellboy and a ruined wedding. Ladybug believes he is the unluckiest man in the world, and Maria Beetle wants to change his outlook with a seemingly straightforward mission. But, of course, nothing goes to plan, leading Pitt down a violence-filled adventure as he tries to secure a briefcase for his boss. The official synopsis for the film reads:
In Bullet Train, Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug’s latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe – all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives – on the world’s fastest train… and he’s got to figure out how to get off. From the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch, the end of the line is only the beginning in a wild, non-stop thrill ride through modern-day Japan.
The Cast and Crew of Bullet Train
A star-studded cast is joining Pitt and Bullock in their latest movie. Joey King (The Act), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals), Michael Shannon (Man of Steel), Hiroyuki Sanada (Mortal Kombat), and Benito A MartÍnez Ocasio (Bad Bunny) will all make appearances in Sony Pictures’ new film. “We were fortunate to be shooting in LA during a time when artists were ready to get back to work and having Brad on the project — hot off an Oscar win and having a great script by Zak Olkewicz — really did attract the best people,” director David Leitch told Vulture.
Leitch helped direct the first John Wick film, and the similarity to Bullet Train is undeniable. Based on the book by Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train is hitting theaters on Aug. 5th.
