The OnePlus 10 Pro has been certified for 5G use by Verizon. At launch, we mentioned that the process is ongoing, and it’s now completed. Those of you who are on Verizon shouldn’t hold back if you’re planning on getting the device.
The OnePlus 10 Pro has been certified for 5G use on Verizon
As most of you know by now, as far as the US carriers are concerned, the OnePlus 10 Pro is only available through T-Mobile. Thanks to this certification, though, you can use the device on Verizon’s 5G networks without a problem. That actually includes the C-band Ultra Wideband service.
What does this mean? Well, you may not get 5G download data speeds in the 1Gbps range, but you’ll get a far better connection. Why? Verizon’s mmWave network is not nearly as accessible.
You’re not losing much, to be quite honest. Verizon’s C-band download speeds go up to 700Mbps in New York City, for example. It will all depend on the area, of course.
So, you can use the OnePlus 10 Pro with both T-Mobile’s and Verizon’s 5G networks. What about AT&T’s? Well, if you’re an AT&T user, you’re out of luck. The phone won’t work with AT&T’s 5G network.
For transparency’s sake, do note that the OnePlus 10 Pro won’t work with mmWave signals in general. That’s not something that will concern many of you, if anyone, but it’s worth saying.
The device is priced at $899 in the US
The OnePlus 10 Pro arrived not long ago, and it actually has a somewhat appealing price tag. The phone is priced at $899 in the US. That’s not exactly cheap, but considering what’s included here, the sheer power of the device, it may appeal to some of you.
The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, while it comes in an 8GB variant only in the US, for now. The 12GB RAM model is coming. The device has a 5,000mAh battery, and supports 65W wired charging (in the US), and 50W wireless charging.
Hasselblad pitched in when it comes to cameras, while a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display is also a part of the package. That display is curved, and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate. If you’d like to check out our review of the phone, click here.
