Samsung is gearing up to launch a new Galaxy M series mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy M53 5G, in the coming weeks. Multiple leaks in the past have already revealed a lot about the device. Today, we have our first look at it, courtesy of YTechB who have got hold of a press render of the phone.

The leaked render of the Galaxy M53 5G shows a quad-camera setup on the back. The square-shaped array is identical to that on the Galaxy M33 5G launched earlier this month. The camera sensors aren’t the same though, at least not all of them. According to the new report, the Galaxy M53 5G will feature a 108MP primary rear camera. The other three cameras include an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The front design of this phone, on the other hand, matches the Galaxy A53 5G. We have a punch-hole display which is said to be a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The front-facing camera is reportedly a 32MP sensor. The Galaxy M53 5G can capture 4K videos at 30fps (frames per second) with both front and rear cameras.

Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device will support micro SD cards for expandable storage. For power, we have a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

Other highlights of the Galaxy M53 5G include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and 5G connectivity, of course. The device should boot Android 12 from day one, with One UI 4.1.

Based on all this info, the Galaxy M53 5G is a combination of Samsung’s recent three mid-range models — Galaxy M33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A73 5G. Well, the company launches way too many smartphones to make each of those unique. It makes several devices with minor differences and launches them at various points. This enables the Korean brand to have an offer whatever might be your budget.

The Galaxy M53 5G should launch in the coming weeks

Samsung has yet to confirm the existence of the Galaxy M53 5G. But based on the number of leaks lately, and the amount of information revealed, it shouldn’t be too far off now. We are expecting the device to go official in a few weeks. We will keep you posted.
