Samsung has released the February 2022 Android security patch to a couple more US-bound Galaxy smartphones. The Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A32 5G are both now receiving a new security update stateside. The former has already picked up the February update in international markets but the latter is only joining the party today.

The February SMR (security maintenance release) rolled out to the Galaxy A51 early last month. First available to users in Latin America, the update has reached other regions over the past four weeks. Today, the device is receiving the new SMR in the US as well. As of this writing, the latest update for the US-bound Samsung Galaxy A51 is available on Xfinity Mobile’s network. It should soon roll out on other carrier networks as well. The updated firmware version is A515USQS7CVB1.

The latest update for the Galaxy A32 5G, meanwhile, is currently available on Sprint and T-Mobile’s networks in the US. But it shouldn’t be long before the rollout reaches other carrier networks. The update comes with firmware version A326USQU7AVB1.

In addition to this, Samsung is also now rolling out the February security patch to the Galaxy S21 FE globally. The new affordable flagship offering from the company first picked up the new SMR in the US a couple of weeks back. It’s now available to users in Europe as well. The new software package should also hit units in other regions soon. The Galaxy S21 FE is receiving the February SMR with firmware version G990BXXS1BVB3 in Europe.

As Samsung has detailed in its monthly security bulletin, the February security update for its Android smartphones and tablets brings fixes for over 60 vulnerabilities. These include fixes for several critical flaws from Google.

Samsung should soon roll out March update to more devices

Some eligible Samsung devices may still be waiting for the February update but the company has already started rolling out the March SMR to some others. The Galaxy S22 series picked up the latest security patch last week. We expect more Galaxy devices to start getting this month’s update over the next few weeks. The Korean behemoth should also publish the updated security bulletin with the content of the new patch soon. We will keep you posted.

Meanwhile, if you’re using a Samsung smartphone, you can check for OTA (0ver the air) updates by navigating to SettingsSoftware update and tapping on Download and install on your phone.
