Motorola’s mid-range smartphone lineup could soon include the Moto G22. A new leak is now giving us a closer look at the device, along with detailed information on its hardware.

The renders and the accompanying hardware specifications come from WinFuture.de (via GSMArena). According to the source, the Moto G22 will feature a 6.53-inch OLED screen with a 720×1600 HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The device is also sporting the upcoming octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 chipset running on a 4×4 configuration at 1.8GHz and 2.3GHz, respectively. The chipmaker’s PowerVR GE8320 GPU will accompany the SoC. The phone will not support 5G connectivity, however, indicating that it could cost lower than most mid-rangers.

The phone will feature at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, while the fingerprint scanner sits within the power button. Customers can expect decent camera features with the reported 50-megapixel primary camera (f/1.8), an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and two 2-megapixel cameras supporting depth and macro functions. There’s a solitary 16-megapixel front camera in the conventional hole-punch format.

The Moto G22 will feature Android 12 out of the box

Motorola will reportedly cram a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. As you would expect, the Moto G22 would sport Android 12 by default. It seems like the phone will reach Europe first, though we don’t have confirmation of this yet. Pricing information is fairly scarce too, though one can predict this to cost somewhere between $250 to $350 at launch. Since the device has already been detailed by a leak, its official launch shouldn’t be far off.

The manufacturer recently launched its new flagship for the North American market, known as the Motorola edge+ (2022). The phone will also be available through carriers like Verizon, Boost Mobile, and others over the next few months.

Motorola’s latest flagship features a 6.7-inch pOLED Full HD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The Motorola edge+ (2022) is poised to take on the Samsung Galaxy S22 in the U.S., as evidenced by the price tag of $899.99 ($799 after discount). Meanwhile, customers can also get the new edge+ (2022) from Amazon, Best Buy, and the Motorola website.
