Nubia unveiled its much-anticipated successor to the REDMAGIC 6, aptly named the REDMAGIC 7, in China last week. The manufacturer is now announcing the global availability of the flagship across the U.S., UK, Europe, and a handful of other markets.

The company sells the REDMAGIC 7 in three variants with varying RAM and storage. The top-of-the-line model is known as “Supernova,” offering a mammoth 18GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Next is “Pulsar,” which brings 16GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Lastly, there’s the REDMAGIC 7 Obsidian, bringing 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space.

Interestingly, the Pulsar and Obsidian versions offer lighting effects around the REDMAGIC logo accompanied by RGB breathing lights. Meanwhile, the top-tier Supernova model includes the renowned built-in “turbofan” with RGB lights and an illuminating logo across the semi-transparent rear panel.

The REDMAGIC 7 includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, providing best-in-class gaming performance. There’s also a large 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate.

The global REDMAGIC 7 lacks the 120W fast charging adapter, settling for a 65W fast charger instead

The rear panel features three cameras including a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front uses an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. Customers will also appreciate the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that’s missing on modern-day flagships.

Nubia said the REDMAGIC 7 will launch with the Android 12-based REDMAGIC OS 5.0 with several gaming-related features onboard. There’s a 4,500mAh battery underneath, with the company kind enough to provide a 65W fast charger in the box. By contrast, the Chinese version of the REDMAGIC 7 features a 120W fast charging adapter.

Customers outside China can officially buy the REDMAGIC 7 on March 10, 2022, though there’s no pre-order listing available. Users can sign up for the early bird offer, which begins on March 3.

The high-end Supernova variant will set you back by $799, while the Pulsar and Obsidian versions cost $729 and $629, respectively. Given the unique combination of high-end hardware and an affordable price tag, the REDMAGIC 7 series is poised to make a big splash in the mobile industry. Mark your calendars for March 10, or register your interest for the REDMAGIC 7 from Nubia’s official website.

In addition to the U.S., UK, and Europe, the Nubia REDMAGIC 7 will also be available across the Middle East, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific.
