UPDATE (March 5, 2025): We’ve just received new information from OnLeaks in regards to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 design. It seems like a slightly different design will be used after all. Only one thing is different compared to the original leak, but a rather notable one. Samsung is ditching the folder-type design of the cover display after all. The company will put both rear cameras inside the display, basically like some of its competitors. You can see the difference below.
We have three new images to share, actually, not just one. If you check out the gallery below, you’ll see three new images that show the design Samsung will actually use later this year. Considering that the cover display will have more real estate, it will also be larger. Instead of the originally reported 3.6 inches, the display size will be around 4 inches. That is the only difference here. Once again, there are three images for you to check out below, representing the final design.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: This is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, which we expect to be announced in July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is going to sport a 3.6-inch cover display with a 6.8-inch inner display. That does make both screens just a tiny bit larger, coming from 3.4 inches and 6.7 inches on the Galaxy Z Flip 6, respectively. The dimensions have also grown a smidge to 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9mm, or 9.1mm thick with the camera bump. That larger cover display is going to be nice to have, however, the Motorola Razr+ 2024 (Razr Ultra 50) still has a larger cover display, and it was released almost a year ago.
Samsung is expected to continue using the dual camera setup on the Galaxy Z Flip 7. A 50-megapixel primary sensor is expected and a 12-megapixel ultrawide one. While these sensors look the same on the surface, they are likely upgraded sensors. The decision on which processor Samsung will use hasn’t been confirmed yet. We’ve seen reports of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 using the Exynos 2500, as well as reports saying Samsung won’t be using it, due to the yield rate of that chipset. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will continue to be offered with 12GB of RAM. You’ll be able to choose between 256GB and 512GB of storage.
Pricing is expected to remain the same
An important aspect to note about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 this year, is that the price is expected to remain the same. Starting at $1,099. This isn’t surprising, since Samsung did raise the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Flip 5 a couple of years ago. We did not see a price increase on the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year either.
Samsung is also said to be using a much less visible crease on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (and Fold 7) this year. This comes from a few different tipsters. So it will be less visible compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
