The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is back on sale, now for $889. That’s down from its regular price of $999. While that is only $110 off of its regular price, this is still a really good price. It’s about $20 shy of its all-time lowest price too, and we don’t expect to see the Galaxy Z Flip 4 until August, so it won’t be replaced for a while.
Now, that’s not a huge discount, compared to others we’ve seen. But if you don’t want to switch carriers and/or plans, nor trade-in your current smartphone, then this is a pretty good deal.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is Samsung’s latest clamshell foldable smartphone. It has a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, along with a 1.9-inch cover screen that can be used to show you notifications, the weather and much more. This is powered by a Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage onboard. Not necessarily the most high-end smartphone on the planet right now, but still pretty speedy.
This year, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also a lot more rugged than the previous model. The phone is now water-resistant at IPX8. That means it’s only water-resistant and not dust-resistant. The ultra thin glass on the Flip 3 is also more durable and won’t scratch as easily. That is definitely a good thing now.
For many, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is going to be a really impressive smartphone, and likely their first foldable device. And if pre-orders are anything to go by, this might be the most popular non-iPhone sold in 2021. As it has already outpaced the Galaxy S21 that Samsung released back in January. So that’s a pretty impressive feat.
