The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be a large smartphone, as expected. This has been revealed by Ice Universe, one of the best-known tipsters out there. He went to X to confirm that its display will be almost the same size as the Galaxy S25+’s.
The Galaxy S25 Edge will be a large phone, as we expected
Ice Universe shared a picture of the Galaxy S25 Edge’s screen protector, which proves the display size. This is exactly what we expected, actually, as several sources tipped that the size will be similar to that of the Galaxy S25+.
Despite the fact it will be large, this phone will have a rather tiny battery. It will include a 3,900mAh unit, allegedly, which is kind of small for its size. The phone will be only 4.85mm thick, though, so that’s the main reason.
On the flip side, Samsung didn’t opt for a silicon-carbon battery here, which would allow the company to considerably increase its capacity while keeping the same footprint. That’s a shame.
It will feature two cameras on the back, and possibly a 200-megapixel main camera
We also know that the Galaxy S25 Edge will end up sporting two cameras on the back, even though its previous prototype included three. Samsung opted for this model as it’s even thinner than the other one.
The phone is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel camera on the back, probably the same one as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. So the device could end up picking up pieces from both the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
This phone is expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, the same as its siblings. It will launch “around April”, based on what Samsung’s representative said. There’s a chance the launch event will happen in April, however.
This will be the fourth member of the Galaxy S25 series. Its siblings were announced last month, while the Galaxy S25 Edge was only teased during the first Unpacked event of the year.
