This is the Motorola Razr Plus 2025 (or Motorola Razr 60 Ultra outside of the US). This uses the codename “Orion” and should be launching very, very soon. We’ve already seen reports that the Razr series could launch sooner than usual, and the Razr 2024 series launched in June 2024.
This particular color of the Motorola Razr Plus 2025 is a dark green color, with what looks to be a faux leather stitched backside. Motorola has used faux leather on previous Razr devices, last year it was used on all four colors of the Razr Plus, and a couple Razr colors. However, in 2023, it was used on a single Razr color – the Viva Magenta that was exclusive to T-Mobile.
With this new Razr, we have glossy rails, which are likely aluminum. Along with two cameras on the main display. We don’t have many details on these cameras, but where Motorola did ditch the telephoto lens on the Razr Ultra (Razr+ 2024) last year, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see this one launch with a wide and a telephoto lens.
Motorola is sticking with the huge 4-inch Cover Display
A feature that really makes the Razr stick out, compared to other flip phones, is that huge cover display. With The Razr Plus 2024, Motorola made that cover display about as large as they could, bringing it up to 4 inches. On top of that, Motorola lets you run any Android app on that cover display, unlike some competitors that limit the apps to just a handful.
Internally, we’re likely looking at the same 6.9-inch main display as the Razr Plus 2024. With the Snapdragon 8 Elite powering this phone. We haven’t yet seen anything saying which Snapdragon 8 Elite this phone would use. As there is a new 7-core version that is being used in a few other foldable devices like OPPO’s Find N5. We’re also expecting up to 12GB of RAM and starting at 256GB of storage, with a 4,000mAh capacity battery.
