You can now pre-order the Galaxy S25 series through Samsung’s website and authorized retailers. At the same time, people who have used the devices are confirming important details about their tech specs and features. Now, a user has shared the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s benchmark results and compared them to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, confirming the overall superiority of Samsung’s offering.

TECHINFOSOCIALS has shared screenshots of the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s CPU and GPU tests on X/Twitter. Starting with the CPU, the user showed the device’s results on Geekbench 6. The scores match previous leaks where the device significantly outperformed Apple’s current most premium phone in multi-core tests while falling slightly behind in single-core performance.
More specifically, the Galaxy S25 Ultra scored a whopping 10,223 and 3,220 points in multi-core and single-core tests, respectively. To give you an idea, the iPhone 16 Pro Max scored 8,553 and 3,457 points on the same tests. This leaves Samsung’s next-gen flagship phone with a nearly 20% lead for multi-core tasks. Plus, it had narrowed the gap that Apple’s chips usually have in single-core performance.
For GPU tests, the user turned to results in the 3DMark Steel Nomad Light benchmark. It was an even bigger win for Samsung this time, with a huge 36% advantage. More specifically, the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max scored 2,617 and 1,922 points in the test, respectively. This means that Samsung’s current most premium phone will be especially efficient at ray tracing. The results also carried over to the frames per second tests, with the S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max scoring an average of 19.39 FPS and 14.2 FPS, respectively.
The whole Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip. This version has a slightly overclocked CPU compared to the “base” chip, which may have had an impact on the results. In any case, the device emerged as the most powerful overall in the tests.
