Samsung has released a new promo video for its upcoming Galaxy S22 series smartphones. In it, Samsung teases the Galaxy S22 Ultra “night-breaking” camera, basically. The video is embedded below the article.

This promo video has a duration of half a minute, and it doesn’t directly mention the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It does mention the day the device will launch, February 9, along with its siblings, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets.

New Samsung promo video teases “Night-Breaking” Galaxy S22 Ultra camera

This promo video is filled with hints about the low light performance of the camera, and it also uses the “Break the rules of light” caption. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will have the most prominent camera setup out of all three smartphones, so there you go.

The S21 Ultra was extremely capable in low light situations, so we have great expectations for its successor. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a huge sensor to work with, and it will surely be interesting to see the comparison between the two.

The device will feature five cameras, four on the back

As a reminder, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is tipped to have four cameras on the back. Its main camera will be a 108-megapixel one (f/1.8 aperture, 85-degree FoV, OIS). In addition to that, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, 120-degree FoV) will be included.

That’s not all, though. Two 10-megapixel cameras will also be used, and they’ll both be telephoto units. They’ll be quite different, though, as one will focus on lower zoom scenarios, while the other will enable you to zoom in really far.

This camera setup actually does look fairly similar to the one on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which will make comparing them that much more interesting.

The Galaxy S22 and S22+ will have a different camera setup. Those two phones will utilize three cameras on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera will be included, along with a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto unit.
