The OnePlus 13 was announced yesterday, and our review is already up on the site. With that being said, Zack from JerryRigEverything YouTube channel also managed to get his hands on the device. He drop-tested the OnePlus 13, machine-washed it, and disassembled it, so let’s talk more about that.
The OnePlus 13 gets drop-tested, machine-washed, and disassembled
He did all that in his latest YouTube video, which is embedded below the article. The video itself has a duration of 8 minutes, in case you’re interested. The video starts with a 20-foot drop, and it actually survived that drop twice.
Zack also decided to bathe the OnePlus 13 in motor oil, and then machine-wash it. Why? Well, because OnePlus said it’s doable, and the company actually demonstrated that during a recent media launch cruise.
The phone survived that too, without a problem, but Zack wanted to make sure no water managed to get to the inside. So, he decided to disassemble the device as well. And sure enough, the water indicators have remained intact, as you’ll notice in the video.

What’s also interesting when it comes to the OnePlus 13 is that the display will work just fine even if it’s wet, or if there’s oil on top of it. The same goes for the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, actually, it doesn’t matter if the phone is wet.
The OnePlus 13 is available to purchase as we speak. The phone’s pricing starts at $899 in the US, and €1,049 in Europe, though it could differ from one market to the other. There are also a number of deals that OnePlus is offering, which are different from one market to the next.
