It’s a new year and time for some new headphones from audio juggernaut JBL. While it’s not announcing these at CES, they still deserve a mention. The company announced a slew of new over-the-ear headphones, and these are guaranteed to give you some great audio whether you’re on a budget or looking to splurge. JBL introduced the new JBL Tour ONE M3 and the JBL Junior series.
Don’t forget that CES is kicking off soon. The top tech brands are showing off their latest and greatest tech. So, be sure to stay tuned to Android Headlines for coverage of what companies are releasing.
JBL Tour ONE M3
Many of us know JBL as a company that specializes in affordable headphones. While it has a strong hold on budget cans, the company also makes some premium headphones for those who want top-notch audio. Today, the company just announced the new JBL Tour ONE M3.
Coming in at $399.99, these headphones are meant to compete with more premium headphones from the likes of Sony. As such, they need to have some top-of-the-line hardware to push a high-quality sound.
The JBL Tour ONE M3 use a set of 40mm Mica Dome drivers. They deliver a powerful and rich sound with deep bass. Along with the bass, they also deliver crisp mids and higher tones. You’re not only getting an encompassing sound, but you’re also getting a well-balanced sound. You know that the company calibrated these drivers to give you audio that’s leaps and bounds better than its more affordable headphones.
Adding to the audio quality is the JBL 360 spatial audio. Using this technology, headphones will adjust the audio as you turn your head. So, it will feel just like you’re in the middle of the concert hall or the studio.
All of these features are amazing, but there are more features to be excited about. The JBL Tour ONE M3 support Hi-res Bluetooth, amazing ANC, Auracast, lossless audio over USB-C, and up to 70 hours of playback on a single charge. We can’t forget about the JBL Headphones app. Using the app, you can adjust the built-in EQ, cycle through the sound modes, and more.
You’ll be able to pick these headphones up on April 13th.
JBL Junior Series
Maybe you’re looking for a good pair of headphones for your little music lover. Well, JBL has a pair of headphones specifically designed for kids. The JBL Junior Series consists of the JBL Junior 470NC, Junior 320BT, and Junior 320.
These headphones are pretty similar in their audio quality. Obviously, they’re not meant for audiophile listening. You can expect modest audio quality, but we’re sure that your 9-year-old won’t mind. The main thing is that they have a pair of headphones to funnel whatever song’s being popularized on TikTok.
There are a few things that make these cans perfect for your adolescent audio lover. Firstly, these headphones come in a couple of fun colors. These are bold and kid-friendly colors like pink, baby blue, purple, and more. The choice of colors will vary depending on which model you pick up.
Next, and most importantly, these headphones allow parents to have control over their kids’ listening activity. Using the JBL Headphone app, parents can set how long their kids can listen to music with their headphones. Parents can also record their own voice messages to play when it’s time for their kids to stop listening. Not only that, but parents can also set the max volume level to keep their kids from listening to music that’s too loud.
There are some key differences between these headphone models. The Junior 470NC are the most premium, as they come with Active Noise Cancelation. This uses the microphones on the outside of the headphones to cancel out the ambient noise. So, your child will be able to isolate themself with their music.
The Junior 320BT lack the noise cancelation, so you’ll likely get these headphones if you want to spend a bit less money. The “BT” in the name stands for Bluetooth, but if you’re looking for a wired option, then you’ll want to look into picking up a pair of the Junior 320. These come with a wire, so kids won’t have to worry about battery life. Along with that, there’s a little controller on the wire that allows your child to control their media. The only thing to note is that these aren’t compatible with the JBL Headphones app, so you’ll be missing out on the parental controls.
Since these are targeted at kids, you know that the prices for these headphones will be pretty close to the earth. The Junior 470NC cost $79.99. If you want to save a bit of money, you’ll be able to pick up the Junior 320BT for only $49.99. Lastly, you’ll pick up the Junior 320 for only $29.99.
These headphones will all hit the market in March of this year.
JBL Tune 520C
If you don’t want to deal with wireless headphones, then you should look into getting the Tune 520C. You can listen to high-res audio through the wired connection. If you’re afraid that you won’t be able to listen to music if your phone doesn’t have a headphone jack, don’t worry. These are USB-C headphones. So, you’ll be able to plug them into your device’s charging port.
