A tipster called Jukanlosreve managed to get his hands on some interesting information. He managed to get Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series sales numbers. Do note that the following information is based on sales since launch, up until November last year.

The Galaxy S24 series sales represent an improvement across the board

Based on this, Samsung sold 12.1 million Galaxy S24 units, 6.7 million Galaxy S24+ phones, and 15.8 million Galaxy S24 Ultra devices in that time span. So, altogether, that comes to 34.6 million units sold.

To put this into perspective, the tipster also shared the Galaxy S23 sales. 10.46 million Galaxy S23 units were sold a year prior, along with 5.39 million Galaxy S23+ unit, and 13.56 million Galaxy S23 Ultra handsets. That comes down to 29.4 million units sold.

As you can see, each of the Galaxy S24 models sold better than their predecessors. Based on these numbers, Samsung has seen an improvement of 5.2 million units in terms of sales.

Things don’t look as great for the company’s foldables, though

Now, in addition to the Galaxy S24 series sales figures, he also shared sales figures for the company’s foldables. Samsung sold 2.09 million Galaxy Z Fold 6 units over a 5-month period since launch, and 2.81 million of Galaxy Z Flip 6 phones.

If we compare that to their predecessors, we’ll see that the ‘Fold’ sales improved, but the same cannot be said for the ‘Flip’. Samsung sold 1.91 million Galaxy Z Fold 5 units and 3.3 million Galaxy Z Flip 5 units a year before. That actually marks a decrease in sales, if we look at foldables in general.

There could be a lot of factors why that is. Samsung did not exactly make huge improvements to either its Galaxy S24 smartphones nor its foldables. There’s also plenty of competition out there at the moment.

The company is expected to make a bigger jump with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, while the Galaxy S25 series won’t be that much different based on all the rumors and leaks we’ve seen thus far.
