The first UFC PPV of 2022 is nearly here. UFC 270 is taking place this Saturday, January 22, 2022. It’ll eminate live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
It’s going to be a huge PPV with Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane headlining the main card, for the heavyweight title. It also has a flyweight title fight between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo. Which will be their third contest, a rubber-match if you will.
UFC 270 Main Event Preview
This will be the first time that Ngannou will fight Gane, and it’s likely to be a somewhat quick one. Many are predicting that Gane will get knocked out. When Ngannou fought Stipe Miocic, he was able to tire out Ngannou by wrestling him, but that is not part of Gane’s skillset.
Ngannou is the most dangerous puncher in the UFC right now, so Gane would need to run the gauntlet and keep from getting punched. Once that punch lands, he’s going to be knocked out. However, Gane did outclass the second biggest puncher in the division in Derrick Lewis.
It’s going to be a rather exciting PPV from the UFC. And we can’t wait for Saturday.
