As you progress, you’ll unlock different cities to dance through along with upgrades to your character. You can unlock new dances and add powers like laser eyes. Also, you can HEAVILY customize your character’s appearance down to each body part.
There are no in-app purchases in this game at all, and that goes for ads. Your progress merely by playing the game.

There is A LOT to D4DJ including characters, unlockable content, and a story mode with fully voiced cutscenes (however, they’re in Japanese). As the story goes, you play as a group of aspiring DJs who tour the world; that’s pretty much it.
As for in-app purchases, I’m sorry to say that this is a quintessential gacha game. You’ll be bombarded with gacha pulls, special events, an energy system, and all sorts of opportunities to spend money. However, you can get some good gameplay in before having to pay.
