OnePlus keeps on sharing more information about its upcoming flagship. The OnePlus 10 Pro camera features were just confirmed by the company, well, some of them. This information follows the camera setup confirmation by the company’s CEO.
Before we get down to the camera features, let’s talk about what was confirmed earlier. The OnePlus 10 Pro will feature a 48-megapixel main, a 50-megapixel ultrawide, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera on the back. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera will be included on the front.
It seems like the most significant camera upgrades will be on the software side. The ultrawide camera will be upgraded, and the same goes for the selfie camera, but other changes will be software-based.
That’s not a bad thing, if OnePlus and Hasselblad put in the effort to make those cameras great. The hardware was great on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, though it took some optimizing from OnePlus and Hasselblad to fully utilize that hardware.
Some of the OnePlus 10 Pro camera features have been confirmed
Let’s hope that the OnePlus 10 Pro will offer great cameras from the get-go. That being said, OnePlus did confirm that the phone will feature something called ‘RAW Plus’ mode. That is actually something similar to Apple’s ProRAW format. It will combine the benefits of computational photography and RAW image capture.
Hasselblad Pro Mode will be updated, and it will allow all three cameras to control exposure settings and shoot 12-bit RAW files. A new manual recording mode will be included as well, and it will be called ‘Movie Mode’.
That new mode will enable you to control ISO and shutter speed, and access LOG shooting format. This will help with color grading immensely, if you’re planning on doing that in post-processing.
OnePlus & Hasselblad aim to provide great color rendering
With the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus will combine OPPO’s ‘Billion Color Solution’ and Hasselblad’s color science in order to offer 10-bit color to each of the three cameras on the back.

The ability to capture great color was one of the highlights of the OnePlus 9 Pro’s camera setup, so we’re expecting that to be great on the OnePlus 10 Pro as well, especially with these upgrades.
OnePlus is also planning to include a fisheye mode into the mix, which will provide you with a narrower view. Speaking of view, a new ultrawide camera sensor will be included, which will offer a 150-degree field of view.
Needless to say, that is quite wide, and you will be able to use that camera in collaboration with the fisheye mode, if you want. A 110-degree mode will also be on offer, in case you don’t see that wide of a shot, but still need something wider than what the main camera offers.
The monochrome camera is going away
The monochrome camera will become a thing of the past, it seems. That’s basically everything we know thus far when it comes to the phone’s cameras. You can check out some camera samples below.
The OnePlus 10 Pro will drop on January 11, when the company is planning to launch it in China. Its global launch will follow later on, it’s rumored to occur in either March or April. The OnePlus 10 likely won’t launch alongside the OnePlus 10 Pro in China, but it may launch globally.
