The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be thinner and lighter than both the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. This confirmation comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster.

Ice Universe is almost never wrong with such information, so we have no reason to doubt this. Earlier today, he shared some more images of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. These are not leaks, but renders made by a third party. They are, however, based on the actual design of the phone.
In any case, the tipster went to X to confirm that the phone will be quite thin and light. Ice Universe did not share any exact numbers, though, at least no yet. Based on what he said, we can draw some conclusions, though.
First of all, considering it will be lighter than the Pixel 9 Pro XL (221 grams), it also means that it will be considerably lighter than its predecessor. The Galaxy S24 Ultra weighs 232 grams. So it will be over 10 grams lighter this time around.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max will be similar to the Pixel 9 Pro XL in terms of weight. We still don’t have the exact numbers, though, so we’ll leave that comparison out of the table, for now.
It will weigh under 221 grams
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will weigh under 221 grams, that much we know for sure. The only question is, how much exactly will it weigh. Its launch is months away, so we’ll either have to wait for a solid leak or the actual launch of the phone.
This smartphone is expected to arrive in early 2025. In fact, we’re expecting it to launch in January, just like the Galaxy S24 series did. There is a chance Samsung will move things around, though.
Three Galaxy S25 phones are expected, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The ‘Ultra’ model will be the most powerful of them all, of course. It will have flatter sides and less sharp corners.
