Samsung‘s Galaxy S24 FE could launch sometime in October this year. The phone has received approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) which hints at an imminent launch. The global variant of the phone has also been spotted on the Safety Korea certification platform.

Galaxy S24 FE FCC listing reveals support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and more

91mobiles spotted a Samsung device with model number SM-S721B/DS on the FCC certification platform. This is very similar to the model number of the Galaxy S23 FE (SM-S711B/DS). This is very likely that the FCC listing represents the Galaxy S24 FE. The phone also recently went live on the company’s official support page.

According to the certification listing, the phone supports Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and wireless charging. It also reveals that the phone will support 18 5G FR1 bands. For those unfamiliar, 5G FR1 (Frequency Range 1) consists of Sub-6 GHz frequency bands allocated to 5G.

A listing from the Korean Testing Laboratory also reveals the battery models of the phone to be EB-BS721ABE and EB-BS721ABY. The certification body has tested the batteries using Samsung’s 25W charging adapter. It hints that the phone will support the same 25W charging as its predecessor and this year’s Galaxy S24.

The US variant of the Galaxy S24 FE has also received the Bluetooth SIG certification and has appeared on the Geekbench database. The chipset is a slightly downclocked version of the Exynos 2400 from the Galaxy S24 series. The listing also suggests that the phone will have 8GB RAM.

The battery capacity seems to remain very similar

According to reports, the Galaxy S24 FE packs a 4,565mAh battery. To recall, the Galaxy S23 FE also packs a 4500 mAh battery. It will be interesting to see how much of an improvement the phone manages to offer with the more efficient chipset.

According to previous reports, the phone is likely to house a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide, and an 8 MP 3x telephoto as part of the rear camera setup. There could be a 10 MP selfie camera on the front. The phone could launch with One UI 6.1.1, which is based on Android 14.
