For pre-orders of the Pixel 9 series, Amazon was offering up some pretty nice deals in the form of gift cards. Now that pre-orders are over – at least for Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL – those deals are actually still available. For the Pixel 9 Pro XL, you can get a $200 Amazon Gift Card with your purchase, while the Pixel 9 is a $100 gift card. That’s not too shabby since it does not require trading in your current phone.
This year, with the Pixel 9 Pro models, Google really knocked it out of the park. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is similar to last year’s Pixel 8 Pro in size, but it has quite a few design changes. This year, the Pixel 9 Pro XL sports flat sides, though it is not sharp like some other devices with flat sides. And even the camera bump is sporting flat sides. It’s really a stunning device, especially in the Hazel color.
Internally, the Pixel 9 Pro XL does sport the Tensor G4 processor, 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There’s a pretty large 5,060mAh capacity battery inside that should keep you going all day long. And in our experience, it does that and more.
Of course, the big features this year for Google are AI. And there’s plenty of it. Some of our favorites include Pixel Studio, which uses Generative AI to create virtually anything – though there are some guardrails. There’s also Magic Editor with Reimagine which lets you make some epic edits to your photos.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL starts at $1,099 for 128GB, but Amazon does also sell 256GB and 512GB models.
