The Pixel 9 Pro has just popped up in some new high-res images that give you a very nice look at the phone’s design, and this might be the best look yet at the phone. Technically it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. The Pixel 9 series in general has leaked numerous times well ahead of Google’s hardware event taking place on August 13. However, these images (courtesy of @MysteryLupin on X) appear to be the most high-resolution images that have leaked of the Pixel 9 Pro so far.
They showcase a little bit of the familiar thanks to recent leaks of every color that Google plans to sell the phone in, which is four total color options according to what we’ve seen. However, these latest images get really up close and personal. And short of holding the phone in your hands, this is about as close as you will probably get to seeing the phone from all angles with such detail and clarity.
Pixel 9 Pro high-res images really highlight the glossy frame
If there’s one thing these new high-res images do, it’s really highlight how glossy the frame on the Pixel 9 Pro is going to be. Whether you love or hate the glossy finish on phones, it does look pretty decent on the Pixel 9 Pro. The images also do a great job of showing off the phone from all angles, save for the top and bottom.
You get a really good look at the side with the power button and volume rocker as well, which are located in the same spot they’ve been for the past several models.
The colors appear to be very subtle
As we’ve said the colors have already leaked, but these close-up shots almost give you a better idea of what the colors are going to look like in person. Where colors like Bay and Mint for the Pixel 8 series are very bright and vivid, the Rose and Hazel colors almost look a little more muted. Obviously, the colors could look brighter in person as images don’t always do these things justice. Especially when they’re promotional/marketing images and not live shots. Regardless, more subtle, muted colors would be a nice change of pace.
Another detail keen eyes might pick up is that the Obsidian model is shown in one of the images with a case. Although it’s tough to tell from the image, it appears to be the same kind of material as the official silicone case that Google launched with the Pixel 8 series.
