The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold camera details have just surfaced. They’ve appeared in the Camera FV-5, in the form of a certification of sorts for Google’s upcoming foldable.
Let’s get right down to it. The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have three cameras on the back. Each of its displays will have its own camera too. Do note that the details for the main camera, and one of the front-facing cameras have surfaced.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold camera details pop up
In regards to the main camera, it will be a 48-megapixel unit. By default, the images will be pixel-binned to 12 megapixels. We’ll also be getting an f/1.7 aperture lens, while both OIS and EIS will be supported. We’re looking at a 25.5mm focal length, an ISO range of 43 to 17,006, and a maximum photo resolution of 4000 x 3000.
These details do go hand-in-hand with what the Pixel Fold offered. It also had a 48-megapixel camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens, and so on. We could be looking at an identical camera, but it remains to be seen.
What about the front-facing camera? Well, a 10-megapixel camera is mentioned with EIS support included. An f/2.2 aperture lens is also mentioned by the Camera FV-5, and the same goes for a 22.3mm focal length. This camera will offer a 77.8-degree FoV, and a maximum photo resolution of 3840 x 2600.
It is worth noting that the Google Pixel Fold had 9.5MP and 8MP cameras. The Camera FV-5 could be identifying that 9.5MP camera as a 10MP camera, as the aperture fits here too. It remains to be seen.
The source did not detail the remaining two cameras on the back
Now, the Camera FV-5 did not share details regarding the remaining sensors. Based on what we’ve seen thus far via leaks and reports, however, the phone is expected to have a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera on the back.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will launch on August 13, next week. Google confirmed as much. The Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL will arrive too. We have plenty of exclusive information regarding the upcoming Pixel 9 phones, so check that out if you’d like to know more.
