A Deadpool smartphone is now official, but not easily available

If you haven’t been living under a rock lately, you’ve likely heard the word ‘Deadpool’ lately. That’s because a new movie called Deadpool & Wolverine is currently in theaters, and the promotion for it was… immense. Well, if you wanted to get a Deadpool smartphone, one has been announced, but it’s not easily available.

What does that mean? Well, it has been announced in India, and it’s available in that market only… for now. Chances are it will stay that way, but we cannot know that for sure at this point.

The phone has been announced by POCO, and it’s called the POCO F6 Deadpool Limited Edition. From the front, it looks like a regular POCO F6, but thanks to a different pain job on the back, it’s obvious it’s different.

You can see both Deadpool and Wolverine on the back of this phone, along with a Deadpool logo, and some branding. A different pain job is not all that’s different, of course. This package contains some additional goodies, and there could also be some slight software tweaks included, we’re not sure. What we do know is that custom software themes and wallpapers are not included.

The charger in the box has a Deadpool sticker. The SIM ejector tool is also special, it has a Deadpool mask on the base of it. Some special paperwork is also included in the box.

In regards to specs, this phone is basically the same as the POCO F6. It has a specific amount of RAM and storage, though, as it comes in only one variant. You’ll be getting 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage.

The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Xiaomi’s HyperOS comes pre-installed on top of Android, and there are two cameras on the back. A main 50-megapixel camera is backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit.

The phone features a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has two SIM card slots, stereo speakers, and an IR blaster, not to mention an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The POCO F6 Deadpool Limited Edition phone is priced at INR29,999 ($358) in India. As mentioned earlier, we’re not sure if it will leave India, but chances are that won’t happen.
