The Xiaomi 12 has just surfaced, as its design has been revealed via CAD-based renders. It seems like this phone will be considerably more compact than its predecessor.

The Xiaomi 12 design has been revealed, the device will be quite compact

There are not many compact Android phones out there, especially when it comes to high-end devices. Well, the Xiaomi 12 will be one of them, it seems. According to Zoutons, which partnered up with @OnLeaks, the Xiaomi 12 will feature a 6.2-inch display.

Its display will be larger than the Galaxy S22’s, but smaller than the vast majority of other high-end devices in the market. The phone is said to measure 152.7 x 70 x 8.6mm (11.5mm including the camera bump).

The device will feature a curved display, and a centered display camera hole. All of its physical buttons will sit on the right-hand side, while Xiaomi’s logo will be placed on the back.

It will likely feature a 108-megapixel main camera

A rather large main camera is easily noticeable on the back, while the remaining two will be noticeably smaller. We still don’t know the exact sensors Xiaomi will use here, but that main camera is likely a 108-megapixel one.

The phone will be made out of metal and glass, and its back side will be curved as well. The bezels on the device will be quite thin overall, but they won’t be uniform, it seems.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro or Ultra, depending on what name Xiaomi opts for, will be a considerably larger phone. It may also include an under-display camera, instead of a hole punch one.

Both of these phones are expected to include the brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, though. Both devices are also expected to offer LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. A 5,000mAh battery is also rumored, and the device could include 8GB of RAM.

Xiaomi will announce its new flagship smartphone series later this month. It is expected to make the announcement towards the end of December in China. The global launch is expected to follow in Q1 next year.
