The OnePlus Watch 2 is getting an attractive new “Nordic Blue” color. The device is one of the most interesting smartwatches currently available. It could even be the Wear OS device with the best battery life on the market. The new color joins the previously available “Radiant Steel” and “Black Steel.”
The latest OnePlus smartwatch color presents some aesthetic differences that make it stand out from the other ones. Previously available models had a completely black bezel. However, the OnePlus Watch 2 Nordic Blue features a two-tone bezel with half blue and half white. This gives more character to the design without losing elegance.
The new variant of the device comes with a strap covered in blue synthetic leather. The strap also has a stitched finish, unlike the slightly more traditional silicone bands on the other versions. However, interestingly enough, the inner area of the band is silicone. On the other hand, the case maintains the silver color of the “Radiant Steel” model. Although the official images suggest that the case could be more polished or shiny. That said, it could be a visual effect of the renders.
A “special edition” that is not available everywhere
It seems that OnePlus considers this new color a special edition. This is reflected in its price, which is a little more expensive than the two colors that we already knew. More specifically, the OnePlus Watch 2 Nordic Blue costs £329 in the UK. In comparison, the “regular” price of the wearable is £299. However, the company is currently offering £30 off all colors, and you can receive an extra strap as a gift with the order.
If you’re in the United States and interested in the new color, there’s bad news. For now, the new color is only available in the UK and some markets in Europe. The company has not yet revealed whether it will expand the availability of the smartwatch to more markets in the near future.
