Unraveling a web of lies, What Jennifer Did focuses on the night of the 8th of November 2010, in Ontario, Canada, when a frantic Jennifer Pan phoned 911 to alert authorities that her parents had been shot by gunmen who had forced their way into her home. Seemingly a survivor of a random and terrible crime, there was more to the story than Jennifer was letting on, leading her to become a suspect in the crime that led to the death of her parents.

After taking the fall for revealing the sexual exploits of the Hartley High School students, Amerie Wadia becomes a social outcast.
